Independent Psychological Practice
Denmark · Mexico · Greenland. Years: 1990–present)
Narrative: I work with individuals, families, and communities through an independent psychological practice grounded in relational, narrative, and community-based approaches. My work integrates psychotherapy, family therapy, and psychosocial methods developed across Nordic countries, Greenland, Mexico, and Spain. I support people and communities in processes of resilience, meaning-making, and creative expression — often through art, storytelling, and collaborative practices. Alongside clinical work, I contribute to seminars, keynotes, project evaluations, and documentation of psychosocial initiatives.
Founder & Director — Siunissaq NGO
NGO for Community Resilience Greenland · Denmark · Mexico · Spain. Years: 2014–present)
Narrative: I founded Siunissaq to support community resilience through psychosocial, art-based, and participatory projects. Our work brings together local knowledge, creative expression, and collaborative processes to strengthen well-being in communities facing social, cultural, or environmental challenges. We develop and evaluate projects in Greenland, Denmark, Mexico, and Spain, working closely with local partners, artists, youth groups, and educators.
The Siunissaq approach is grounded in community psychology, narrative practices, and the belief that healing and strength emerge through shared stories, creativity, and connection.

Speech by Peter Berliner, Metalog, Denmark.
In this talk — delivered in Danish with English subtitles — Peter Berliner explores, with humour, a touch of mischief, and gentle seriousness, how childhood has gradually been narrowed into a straight line of expectations. What was once a wide landscape of imagination and shared life is increasingly treated as a developmental project: measurable, optimized, and controlled.
Through playful anecdotes and mischievous reflections, he shows how modern systems often forget the simple truth that children grow through relationships, curiosity, and participation. Development is not a staircase but a flowing movement — unpredictable, relational, and full of dignity.
The speech invites us to keep childhood spacious. To protect the river rather than measure it. To meet children not as small adults in training, but as full human beings already living meaningful lives.
It is a lighthearted talk with a serious heart — and an early expression of themes that continue to shape Peter Berliner’s work today
