Profile

I am a psychologist and community practitioner with more than 35 years of experience working with local communities, educators, families, and organizations in Greenland, Denmark, Mexico, and internationally. My work has always been rooted in real encounters — listening, learning, and building solutions together.

Alongside my academic career, I worked independently as a privately practicing psychologist, offering psychotherapy, family therapy, professional supervision, consultancy, and organizational support. I am a Licensed Specialist and Supervisor in Psychotherapy and a Licensed Specialist and Supervisor in Organizational Psychology, and these qualifications shaped much of my independent work.

My practice extended internationally. I was invited as a consultant to international and national organizations and NGOs in the Philippines, Guatemala, and many other places across the world in areas of conflict, natural disaster, and organized violence working in contexts marked by conflict, transition, and community rebuilding. I supervised psychologists and practitioners, taught at universities, and carried out research closely connected to real-world programs.

I became deeply involved in Greenland again through community projects and later as a professor at Ilisimatusarfik. This opened the door to Nordic art‑and‑community collaborations, where creativity, dialogue, and social sustainability came together.

Alongside this, I followed Elena de Casas Soberón in developing diplomados in Mexico, reaching hundreds of educators. I have been invited to speak at international conferences on family therapy, community psychology, and social resilience.

Today, I work independently as a psychologist, consultant, educator, and writer.
